About the owner
I first started my home care agency back in 2020, but deep down, I knew it wasn’t my true calling at the time. My heart was focused on my childcare center.
Everything changed in late 2021 when my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I stepped into the role of his caregiver, and surprisingly, I found joy in every part of it—caring for him brought me a sense of peace and purpose. Sadly, in May 2023, my father lost his battle with cancer. His passing led me into a deep depression that lasted for about six months.
One day, God woke me up—spiritually and emotionally—and whispered to my heart, “The same way you cared for your father, I need you to care for others.” That was the moment everything shifted.
I opened a senior home for elderly individuals who were homeless and had nowhere to go. I cared for six residents, helping with medication reminders, cooking, cleaning, doctor’s appointments, outings, and more. I also had a few caregivers by my side. It brought me immense joy.
Soon after, I began caring for my aunt who had been diagnosed with dementia. I became her caregiver—brushing her hair, managing her medications, attending appointments, and preparing her meals. Through it all, I realized: this is my calling.
That’s when God sat me down and said, “Franchesca, I need you to open your home care agency again—to care for seniors the same way you cared for your father, your six residents, and your aunt.”
After my aunt also lost her battle, I found the strength to rise again. And from that moment of pain and purpose, Serenity Home Care Agency was reborn—a place filled with compassion, dignity, and love for every senior we serve.
